Hello, my name is Patricia Wagner and I'm an employee of Microsoft. I work in the Cloud Enterprise division as a content publisher for Visual Studio Team Services, Team Foundation Server, and Application Lifecycle Management products. We are reviewing Wikipedia articles that relate to our areas and would like to update some to better represent the current state and features of our products. Please review the changes below and let me know if they are acceptable to you. Thank you very much for your consideration.
In the "General information" section, please update the "Microsoft Team Foundation Server" entry to read:
Microsoft Team Foundation Server Yes Yes Yes Proprietary ASP.NET, C##, Java, Python, PHP
Add a new entry just below it:
Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services Yes No Yes Proprietary ASP.NET, C##, Java, Python, PHP
In the "Features" section, please add a new line after the Microsoft Team Foundation Server entry that reads:
Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services Yes Yes Yes Yes No Yes Yes Yes
In the "Monetary features" section, please add a new line after the Microsoft Team Foundation Server entry that reads:
Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services No No No
Pat MSFT (talk) 18:57, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Pat MSFT. I don't see that we have a Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services article on Wikipedia. This list article is for listing entires for which there are already articles (see WP:WTAF). Could you please clarify if there is an article about Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services, perhaps under a different name?- MrX 19:33, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
Hello MrX, Thank you for your comment. You are correct. There isn't a dedicated article for "Visual Studio Team Services." That product is under the Visual Studio umbrella, in the article "Microsoft Visual Studio" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Visual_Studio#Team_Services) in the “Team Services” section. Please let me know if you need more information. Thank you again!
- If Visual Studio Team Services is just the internet version of Team Foundation Server, then I don't see why it would need separate entries on this list. Perhaps I'm missing something. Are these actually unique project management software products, or just different flavors of the same development platform, of which project management is a feature?- MrX 21:30, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
Apache Allura

- I have added the software to each of the three tables. You, or someone else, will need to fill in the specific features. I don't think anyone will object to you editing the article provided that you don't add promotional content or external links.- MrX 19:27, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
http://www.ca.com/us/products/ca-project-portfolio-management.html In 2005, CA bought Niku Portfolio Manager for $350M and renamed it to Clarity. Recently the tool was renamed to CA PPM but it is still known as Clarity PPM. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarity
Danielperezglez (talk) 09:31, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Daniel. That article is on the German Wikipedia. There needs to be an article on the English Wikipedia for a product to be added to this list. Altamel (talk) 01:35, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
CA Clarity PPM/CA PPM is a well known tool. It should be added to the list of comparisions. https://www.ca.com/us/products/project-portfolio-management.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xxammuxx (talk • contribs) 14:21, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
- See above. The requirement for entries in such large product lists on English Wikipedia is a stand-alone article on English Wikipedia, that must be based on multiple independent reliable sources (ideally with non-promotional information). Unless such an article is created or the current consensus changes, other entries will get rejected. GermanJoe (talk) 14:58, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
Can you please add the product Project Plan 365 to the comparison. See www.projectplan365.com for details. I can also provide all the data needed, but essentially all the check boxes are the same as those found for Microsoft Project. You can discuss with further: jigs@pcatww.com. Thx! 27.34.17.93 (talk) 05:10, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
- Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the
{{edit semi-protected}}template. If that item does not have a Wikipedia page, it porbably should not be included. --Izno (talk) 14:26, 29 July 2017 (UTC) Izno (talk) 14:26, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
Hello, I just noticed our product 10,000ft has been removed from this list. How can I find out when and who removed it and why? shyam-habarakada (talk) 22:41, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hello @Shyamh:, the article was deleted after consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/10,000ft. Please note that articles on Wikipedia must be based on multiple independent reliable sources to establish the topic's notability (see WP:GNG). Wikipedia is not a free promotional platform or a comprehensive product listing. As an editor with a conflict of interest please make sure to read Wikipedia's guidelines at WP:COI and WP:PAID. GermanJoe (talk) 22:58, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- GermanJoe, thanks for the quick response. I’m confused about what constitutes a notable company vs not and how to reestablish our company page as well as restore these entries in the lists. We are not unlike some other companies and products listed here already. Can you help point me to how to make this the right way? shyam-habarakada (talk) 23:30, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- I'll post some general advice on your user talkpage, as it is not directly related to this list. See User talk:Shyamh for more info. GermanJoe (talk) 00:02, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

I would like to add our company, "Effitrac Solutions India Private Limited" to this comparison list. Effitrac is a leading ERP Software consultancy. At Effitrac, we offer the best ever ERP Software Solutions compared to our predecessors. We have over 15,000 users at over 6 verticals and we are always at their goodwill. Hence, it would prove useful if we can add the comparison of Effitrac to this list. Thank you 118.185.2.146 (talk) 06:05, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Not done: Additions need to be "notable" with their own independently-sourced article (see WP:GNG). And frankly, promotional language like "the best ever ERP Software" is never acceptable here. Any kind of advertising is prohibited. I strongly recommend to read through WP:COI for editors with a conflict of interest. GermanJoe (talk) 08:07, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
Suggest to add ionBIZ as software for comparison. ionBIZ is projectmanagement software developped by ionprojects (http://ionprojects.com). I can help filling in the feature details etc.

Good morning, sir, we visited with interest this page, which summarizes many software for project management. We would also like to include the software developed by us, CARDINIS PPM SUITE, which has been available on the market for twenty years and which has now reached release 7. In particular, our software has been developed taking into account the guidelines of the SME and is one of the few software that is centered on WBS, a key concept for PMs.
The product can handle installations of any size, is used in different sectors, from banking, to food and beverage, in retail, fashion and automotive. It is available in both on-premise and Saas modes and can be fully customised and integrated with Issue Tracking systems (e.g. Atlassian Jira). We can provide both customer references and detailed information.

I just visited this page today and am puzzled as to why Asana is listed as a "No" in the "Issue tracking system" column. Issue tracking is exactly how I have been using Asana for the past several years, both personally and for work. Can any previous editors shine any light on this? Is there a nuance to "Issue tracking systems" that I'm missing? I would like to go in and change the "no" to "yes", as I think that would be most accurate, but I'd like to understand any background first. Thanks - Dyork (talk) 21:32, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

1. HP Project & Portfolio Software no longer exists. HP Business Software was acquired by MicroFocus in 2017 and I believe they market a suite under the name PPM: https://www.microfocus.com/en-us/products/ppm-it-project-portfolio-management/overview The HP_Software_&_Solutions page redirects to Micro_Focus but that does not have any information about this software.
2. The entry in the General information table has a missing cell. One of the cells "Web-based", "Hosted on premises" or SaaS" is missing so that the alignment of the licence column is screwed up.

ZenTao is an open-source project management software with product management, project management, test management, document management, CI management, and todo management. It is a professional Application Lifecycle Management(ALM), covering the core process of software development.
It is also available on GitHub and with quite flexible API to extend features.
ZenTao has been selected as one of the Projects of the Week, September 24, 2018 on SourceForge, a web-based service "to control and manage free and open-source software projects"
Can we please add a new project management software (which was released in June 2020) to the list? I've added the software as a new Wikipedia page as well. Table attributes below.

Hello! I feel that this page could greatly benefit by having supported operating systems for any on-premesis software. I request that one of the following options be implemented:
- a) a single column be added within the "General information" table with cells reading "Linux, MacOS, Windows" or similar
- b) separate columns be added within the "General information" table with color-coded cells indicating support of each respective operating system, such as Linux, MacOS, and Windows
